KrakenD 2022 Recap: A Look Back at Our Major Milestones

by Albert Garcia

We can’t believe it’s been six years since the first commit to KrakenD. It’s incredible how fast time passes when you have a purpose, and we’ve had a blast working on this project and seeing it grow. We are so grateful to everyone who has been with us on this journey.

At KrakenD, we are passionate about building an open-source API Gateway that pursues performance, scalability, and simplicity. This past year marked our first full year as an independent company. It’s been a fantastic ride, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for KrakenD.

During this last year, KrakenD has attracted a lot of attention, resulting in a significant increase in our customer base and outstanding reviews from some independent sources. We are delighted to have received badges as High Performers, Fastest Implementation, and Users Love Us in our Winter reports from G2.

We were thrilled to release KrakenD 2.0 this year, which included new features like GraphQL connectivity and Async Agents, as well as improvements to the developer experience. The response to this release has been overwhelmingly positive. We’re excited to see how our users continue taking advantage of all KrakenD offers.

In October, we were honored to be accepted as a CNA (CVE Numbering Authority). This is a huge accomplishment for us, and we’re committed to working hard to ensure that we continue to uphold the high standards of the CNA program.

Overall, it’s been an incredible year for KrakenD, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds. We’re grateful for all the support we’ve received and look forward to continuing to serve our customers in the years ahead. Thank you for being a part of our story!
